The exhibition seeks to confront contemporary expressionist approaches with the aesthetic strategies that emerged in the 1980s under the name New Expressionism. It serves as a review of current expressionist conventions while simultaneously highlighting the formal and narrative diversity that continues to push the boundaries of this movement. Furthermore, the exhibition provokes reflection on the future of expressionism in contemporary art, questioning whether it represents a transient phase or a permanent and evolving trend.

The title of the show, Po Nitce Do Kłębka (Follow the Thread), offers multiple interpretations. First, its anecdotal nature — with the artist's name "Nitka" (which means "thread" in Polish) — suggests an abundance of literary narrative techniques, frequently used by Zdzisław Nitka and the young artists featured in the Gallery.

Second, the phrase's reference to processuality highlights the continuous pushing of expression's limits. Finally, the title can be seen as a metaphor for the individual and introspective journeys each participating artist takes through their art.
